E-CAMP 2014

Hello guys !!!!!! It’s been an honor to announce that EECC’s blog is back in business !!! *applause*

Haha, it’s been a while since someone posted on our beloved blog!
Today, I certainly just wanted to say how excited I am to be managing this blog J
We’ll share about anything in here, not only news or economic related posts, but also entertainment and fun facts! So do expect every single of our blog posts!

So, first thing first, I wanted to let you know about E-Camp.

What’s an E-Camp?
Take a picture after games :D

E-Camp is a one night two days trip to welcome the newly joined EECC rangers.  It took place in Bandungan, El Roy Villa to be exact, at 1-2 March 2014. Not all of the new rangers could join but it certainly is a great experience to know more about EECC! We get to know every senior member of the group, every division—and what they do, every EECC’s program, and also you could have so much fun! Nevertheless, I would tell you about our fantastic trip!

At 8.00 the Rangers started to arrive in the GSG building. Some are look tired, a lot look excited, and some look a bit annoyed—probably because they can’t sleep in on Saturday :p
Exist brooooo...
yuhuuu...we're in the bus

Two buses were waiting for us. Although some of us arrive a bit late, we managed to take off to Bandungan at 8.30. The trip to Bandungan took about 1, 5 hour. We did have a little confusion to find the villa, but after a brief discussion and confusion, we managed to find the villa. It did leave our eyebrows raised when the Villa is not ready for us to stay because the previous tenant, didn’t leave yet. We supposed to be sitting comfortably, rest a little bit, but because of the other tenant, we shared our villa with the committee for a while.

Session of introduction, ice-breaking, and it did get a bit awkward because we don’t really know each other yet. But all of you did know about the old saying, “Tak kenal maka tak sayang”, so to get rid of the awkwardness that we get on our first meeting, the committee already prepared a lot of fun game that could bond all of us like a real family.

We spent the afternoon listening to our President, Fajar, explaining about rules, history, so on and so forth. It’s a basic knowledge in becoming a Ranger, so we did take notes to every word he said. (Yeah, we did. No lie)
During the E-Camp we have rules and punishment!

The rules are something like :
Speak English during E-Camp
Share your food and drink. (that’s what family are for)
And also, paying attention, no sleepyhead during the E-Camp
And no tardiness. We hate tardiness. There's a special thing for people who come late

The punishments were pretty simple
Singing an Indonesian nursery song in English
Dancing Oplosan
Stand up Comedy

You get one stroke every single time you made a mistake. And the person with the most strokes will get the punishment

Fun, right? What is a makrab without a rule and punishment? *sinister laugh*

We also have guests in our trip! They are the Creative team who would make our trip meaningful and also more and more fun (no kidding when I say fun, because it is)
They helped us to know what kind of personality we have. And how we should mix certain kind of people to make an invincible team. The personality tests was the DISC test. And most of our rangers are S people!

We have a game called ‘Traffic Jam’ game. Where we really need to cooperate with person that have a completely different traits and personality to solve a quite tricky problem. We learned to embrace the diversity of our personality and turn it into great advantages.
It was quite tricky. The game.

After the interesting personality game. We move on into the ‘businesses. In this section, we get to know about every division that EECC have The PR – Public Relation.

Inan, Shasa and Lintang

The HRD – Human Resource Development

Naufal
The RnD – Research and Development

Rina and Fattiya
They all have their own major projects and their own responsibilities, nevertheless they remind us that no matter what division we finally get into, we still could help with other division project, and we are family, right?
[Curious about our projects and profile? Find us on the SocMed, at PKM building, or just stay tuned at this lovely blog. We might have a special post for it!]

We wrap the day with the drama. Not that kind of drama, but a play. Like what we used to do in High School English Class. But, the special thing is we didn’t do an ordinary drama, because we are a special organization, we did a musical! (Cool, right?)

The stories of each team was so amazingly different. From Arabian to Korean, from Indian to Traditional Indonesian, from MinHo to Genie, from the historical Santorini to the scorching hot Desert. It was a full-packaged play.

Romance
Korean drama

Magic

Folklore

Cinta Lokasi ?
(We need a confirmation on this one, both of them were so convincing!)

We dance, we sing, we act. We may not trained professionally but we managed to make the three judges and the audience get ‘wow’ed’ by every single group performance.
We have a judge panel too.

The jury
They gave score and comments. I’d have to say one of them is very critical. Ever watch Indonesian Idol? Imagine that as our judge panel, sound excitingly awesome right?
That’s it for Day One.

Day two starts with a loud music in the middle of the night.
At midnight we have to walk to the three posts and learned about teamwork and trusting each other. We get to share our stories with the committee, they hear our feedback really well, and they accept every critics that we gave them. I applaud them for this. Awesome job, guys.
We were also divided into separate division through a brief interview.
I like how they gave us a ‘golden-card thingy’ that we could keep as a souvenir from this trip (at least, I am) We managed to sleep for a good two hours before a new day starts.
Day two is where the fun begins. We do a little morning workout and GAMES!

You’ll see our ridiculous form, while trying to make a kembang-kuncup-kembang-kuncup. It is hilarious.

After the morning workout, we were divided into a new group.
Our first task is: Code Solving
The code was to reveal our next destination. After breaking the code, we were given a map and money that we could use to finish each mission.

Every mission has its ups and downs. I really mean the word up and down, literally.
At one point we need to go up to finish the mission,

And other time, we need to go down to do so,

We also have to carry the weight together,

We share too.

It was fun. It is. We get a lot of lesson that we could learn.

I don’t want to spill the story very detailed here. Since it would took like 15+ pages, and it could make you yawn and eventually fall asleep in front of your computer. If you were interested and curious about E-Camp, just contact us on our twitter, instagram, or visit us at PKM building or simply ask one of the rangers that could be easily found anywhere with the word awesome in their head. Because, EECC? WE ARE AWESOME!

some of our awesomeness :

EECC !!! WE ARE AWESOME !!!
